The Cinematographic Art & Documentation journal is divided into two chapters concentrating on research in cinematography as an art form, and cultural investigation and the most recent findings in related areas.
In its dedication to cinematography as an art form, the first section focuses on issues related to the perception of cinematic imagery, themes, and symbols embraced in the artistic creation, as well as the nature of visualization, both in general and in relation to the cinematic production.
And in its dedication to cultural investigation and the most recent findings in related areas, the second section focuses on the social and symbolic dimensions related to the time period in which the action of a film unfolds.
